now is gone

now is goneYesterday I received a copy of "now is gone" by Geoff Livingston with Brian Solis, courtesy of Social Media Today (thanks Lauren). I've only just begun to read it but it's already proving very interesting.

The aim of the book is to introduce the benefits of social media sharing on the Internet to Marketing and PR people. As a tech-savvy web person, I'm already aware of the capabilities of the web but it's interesting to see it from the perspective of Marketing and PR people.

One of my current projects involves building a some online tools to assist in online PR and marketing so it's a great resource for me too.

Perhaps there's an additional audience for this book that wasn't originally intended; web-heads who want to learn about PR.

Thanks for posting this and thanks for recognizing that the book offers value to people outside of the PR/marketing community.

We'd like to think that anyone who wants to learn about social media and new media can use this book as a great place to start!

Glad to hear the book is interesting and worth your time. It's really meant to be that first step, and glad its serving that purpose.

Good to see my main man Brian out here, too.
